The end of ski season

I don't know if you follow us on instagram or not- but if not-- you have only missed a ton of snowboarding photos so don't feel too bad. I mentioned earlier that we moved to Utah and I haven't done any blogging since, really.

So to catch you up:  we've been snowboarding. A lot.

Now that it's March 31 we are mourning the loss of the snow as it melts rapidly in the mountains. We only got about 3 good snowfalls in the valley (which was kind of nice) but our snow dog North is ticked about it.

I'm sure April will bring at least one big, unwanted (by the rest of the population) snowstorm. But as I sit here and reflect on how amazing this winter was, I just wanted to express my gratitude for a life that allows me to enjoy my hobby very frequently, as well as a family and friends who like to enjoy it with me. My snowboarding hobby is more like an obsession and after boarding this season more than 50 times, I am not even ashamed to call it an obsession.

Go Pro workshop in Scottsdale, AZ!

We decided to add one final Go Pro workshop in April in Scottsdale, Arizona!  This is a bit last minute, so grab the chance if you've been sitting on the fence about coming to one of our goPro workshops.  Sit on the fence no longer! Because sitting on fences is horribly uncomfortable. Info below!

April 17-18th 2015!

What is a Go Pro workshop?  It's not for the goPro camera!

It's a TWO day, intense workshop for budding photographers and already-in-the-biz photogs who need a lift. Portfolio building, photoshop talk, lighting discussions, the secrets of the biz, etc.

We're arranging two shoots, lots of helpful info- it will make your head explode. In a good way. Plus, throughout the years of teaching this we've realized that a definite perk of our goPro workshop is the community you join; we have a Facebook group of lots of wonderful past workshoppers who are still in touch and helping each other out every day.

SPECIFICS

Day 1

Finding confidence to go pro

Interacting with clients and keeping them happy

Seeing the light and using it to your advantage

Finding inspiration and how to stay creative and fresh

Business matters- taking it up a notch and pricing structures

Editing: finding your own style and running with it

Day 2

Workflow (Bridge, Camera Raw and Lightroom)

Blogging and Social Networking

two practice shoots (families, children, wedding couple)

To reserve your spot, email bluelilyphoto@gmail.com.  This workshop is $898 for the two days, and you can choose to stay in the party house with us for $50 a night starting Thursday, April 16th.

We cannot express how much we love teaching these goPro workshops!  See you there!

Did you hear? Winter is coming! I could not be happier about this, as I deem myself a snow bunny since I daydream about snowboarding daily.  Tyler showed me this awesome, AWESOME video and I wanted to share it with you. Just in case you are equally obsessed with winter.

See the video below the pictures from Calgary.
