the days were long

We are so lucky. We get to meet some really wonderful, interesting, priceless new friends, and here in Costa Rica it's been no exception.  We love it when people reach out to us in various countries and invite us over to dinner or to stay a few days. Who wouldn't?  In a way we are really pretty spoiled. 

This trip to Costa Rica has been greatly enhanced by our "hosts" here in San Jose. Not only are they sweet, genuine, smart, and selfless, but... they have dogs. Three of them. And to the kids, that's heaven.

So while we waited 4-5 days for our Brazilian Visas to go through, we chilled at their house, which has an enormous backyard, and enjoyed the constant breezes, the wonderful vegetarian food, the baby sloth holding, the pool, the hammock, etc.  

Now we are in Brazil but will finish our Costa Rica pictures before moving on.  It took three planes to get here.  3 planes. We've never had more than one connection... good thing we rested up so much lately because the journey took forevvvvver.
