Did you know that in Costa Rica you can camp on any beach for FREE?

FREE!

We heard this before we left Southern California. And we looked online about whether it was safe; the answer was a yes! but just don't leave your tent and gear lying around all day unattended. Sweet! And, duh.

We bluelilies are pretty die hard campers and so hearing about free camping is pretty exciting stuff. Our first real adventure in Costa Rica was to take place in Dominical.... a beautiful white sand beach just waiting for our tent to grace it's presence.

And I've gotta say... our little orange tent looked GOOD out there.  And the sleep we got was long and great. Falling to sleep at 8pm with waves gently crashing in the very near distance is something I think I could get used to. I didn't even mind being woken up at 5:45am to some crazy bird whistling loudly right above our heads. I did, however, mind getting punched in the face all night by Isabelle, who insists on invading my space. Payback, I guess.

A real "adventure" took place at Dominical that evening... but that's a story for another day.

Looks so amazingly beautiful...I'll be forwarding this post to friends who are moving to Costa Rica. They'll be happy to hear that news about beach camping (and hopefully we'll get to take advantage of that too, when we visit them). Thanks for the e-mail and enjoy the rest of your time there!
