Travel Updates and GIVEAWAY!

It's been too long since we have had a giveaway.  What's up for grabs this time?

A free supercool session with me and the Mr., OR, FIFTY BUCKS to Urban Outfitters!  I went there last weekend in Houston and got me a whole slew of things, including the cutest ugly pair of glasses you can imagine. Trust me, they are freaking adorableugly.

October 23-26th: Orlando, FL

November 12-14th: Phoenix, AZ

Phew.  Gonna be a busy rest of the year. 

We're trying to settle on locations for all these shoots.  I love to do at least one day urban, one day naturey. Any hints, suggestions or tips you readers have are greatly appreciated! As soon as we have locations, we'll put up signups on the blog.

If you'd like to get on the interest list for any of these places, let us know! A lot of these locations' lists are really full. But, we can extend dates to accommodate.

Here are some images from Dallas, TX.  A really, really good time was had overall in Texas. I especially liked the giganta-mall in Houston and the clean, wholesome feel of Dallas.

But next time, I probably should NOT think I can do 2 morning sessions, drive 4.5 hours to Dallas, do 4 more evening sessions, turn back around and drive 4 hours, go to bed at 2:30 am and then wake up at 4:30 am to catch my flight home.

I mean- I did it and all (and hullo, it was a total blast)- but I'm paying for it today!

 

 

 

p.s. stay tuned for tales from my latest brush with horses. They are sure to inspire and or make you pee your pants.

Wendy...FYI I have the same feeling about monkeys or any monkey like creature after being grabbed by one at the zoo when I was 3. I don't think it is something I'll ever get over, nor am I sure that is necessary for a successful rest of my life. No one ever quite realizes how often monkeys appear in everyday life and in popular culture until you are deathly afraid of them. So, I understand your pain with horses!

Oh, oh, pick Asheville, pick Asheville! If you come to NC you simply must do sessions in Asheville! It's known as the "Paris of the South" so how can you say no to that? The downtown area is amazing for urban sessions! And there are all kinds of "naturey" places close too. Plus you get to use phrases like "ya'll" and "buggy". Please put me on your Interested list for NC. I love your work!

I actually want to enter my friend Lisa Miner who is in Seattle right now with her little boy at the Ronald McDonald house/Children's hospital. He's being treated for a rare disease that has had him in chemo since he's been 6 months old (he's 18 months right now). The chemo isn't working and the disease has spread to his bone marrow. They are looking for a match right now, but it has to be another child's bone marrow and of course his typing is rare. They could use an awesome session--just mother and son.
