Howdy, Houston

This morning I sort of started off on the wrong foot.

It's a long, dramatic story, but I somehow lost my license out on the miles of pavement at the airport this morning.  I didn't notice until it was almost too late- the guys at the security check said, "Oh, we can still get you on the plane without your license... but it won't be pretty." (body cavity searches, anyone? no thanks.)

So after declining that, I got down on my knees right there in the airport and said a prayer. Oh man, I did NOT want to miss my flight, or this trip, and miss meeting some great new clients.  I did not want to start bawling like a baby right then and there.  I checked my bags and pockets and shoes and everything else possible, then set off to scour the pavement.

I traced my steps a thousand times. Then, went back to check once more.  Nothing. Headed back to the terminal to accept my fate, whatever it was... and looked back over my shoulder one more time.  And! I saw my license, flat against the side of a curb about 40 feet away.

How the heck did I see that thing?!  I dunno. I'm so thankful I found it.

Next I headed to the gate to board the plane. Turns out, it was not a big jet like normal, but a tiny little toy plane. Aw nuts. I hate those things... for good reason.

But- here I sit in my hotel room, happy and safe, blogging away. I miss my Tyler, and my children. I imagine that Isaac is sleeping on my side of the bed- a privilege he enjoys only when I'm gone. Izzy probably is in her own bed, with toys piled on top of her face and she's probably stripped down to her undies. Never can keep clothes on.

Life is good, you know?

Here's a little sneek peek for Kim, who begged for one.  Sometimes I'm nice like that.

I miss NYC.

These are BEAUTIFUL. I love how you saturate the colors. It looks like you're not the only one running into some bad 'stuff' over the crazy weekend. I just had a friend get robbed of ALL <a href"http://naomimasinaphotography.blogspot.com/2009/05/i-can-cry-and-still-be-strong.html"/> her </a> stuff. Glad to hear things work out for you!!!

Pictures of Kim and family are especially nice. I guess it helps if you know the subject, but you caught them beautifully. Now, when do you come to Las Vegas?

Congrats on finding your license, you used what Ryan calls the 5 min prayer rule. He only uses it when he has looked hard and long for something he really needs and then he prays about it and with in 5 min he finds it. It has worked every time.

I love the picture of the little girl siting on the stairs. She is so stinkin' cute.

Have a good trip, see you when you get home.
