NieNie and the Orchard

In case you are one of the few people in the blogosphere you hasn't heard of Nieniedialogues, let me direct you to one of the most amazing and uplifting blogs out there.  Stephanie Nielson is one chic mama- who writes about her life as a mother, sister, daughter, and homemaker.  I've read her blog for a long time and always been entertained by her stories of daily life and colorful showcasing of her stylish decorating.

So- you can imagine how I was both excited and nervous for her family's shoot in Utah (though she resides in AZ)!  I didn't need to be nervous though- Her family is as beautiful as they come and I almost went nuts over their choice of wardrobe.  Everything was colorful, with a touch of vintage goodness.  NICE.  I picked out a few vintage chairs, pillows and a wagon with her in mind. You like?

I'll be back in Utah kicking off the HOLIDAY season from October 21st to the 25th, making appointments back to back in the Orchard and at the Riverwoods. See recent posts for examples of shoots at these locations. I'm willing to have a session anywhere in Utah County, however- Contact me if you are ready to book!  These things are going to go fast.   One of my most commented on images was taken in October in the orchards-- Californians drool over such a location.  If only.

Main reason why you should book with Blue Lily in October:  You'll LOVE the results and die over them (a figurative, happy death).  My favorite comment after a mother saw her child's Blue Lily photos is this:

"I love them all SO much it's insane- I just want to print them all out and then roll in them, and then cry from the happiness."

Don't deny yourself of this experience!

Wow. Those are all so gorgeous. You are right, I die over your orchard pictures, but those Utahans don't have old town, right? Right?

Still can't believe you were hanging with cjane and nienie two weeks ago. You are the awesomest.

I love your work! Amazing. Beautiful..whimsy even. The only upsetting thing is that you're not local and I just spent a ridiculous amount of money for family portraits. If you are ever in Florida (come to Disney World..) please contact me, I would seriously love to have a session with you. If I am ever in California or Utah I will contact you. Keep up the good work.

Utah also doesn't have the beautiful preserve in fallbrook. I think my pics there are just as pretty! But I do still want some in the orchards!

I'm a long time lurker on Stephanie's blog and had to de-lurk to say that these photos are amazing! I'm always drawn to landscape photos of Utah because we're considering a move out there later this year so it's great to hear you rave about the location. :) The rest of your photography is beautiful as well. So glad to have found your blog. :)

I am dying to know where these orchards are. I have been looking for them for months...seriously. I live in the SLC area and am sure they are in the Provo area but there are so many orchards down there. Thanks!

Wendy, I truly think these are your best pics in the orchards. As the first one to have a session in the orchards...I guess I can admit to that, even though my pics are awesome too. But seriously, your work improves more and more every day.

Inspiring. The family and the photographs. I saw these on Stephanie's blog last year and dreamt of my own version of these. With the apple trees in full bloom right now. I attempted it. Thanks for the inspiration and your wonderful talent!
